Analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs
Melo xicam is a non-steroidal antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug, not a hormone drug, with strong anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. It can selectively inhibit the activity of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), thus blocking prostaglandin synthesis. The inhibition of prostaglandin biosynthesis in inflammatory sites is stronger than that in gastric mucosa or kidney. More secure than other NSaids. It is mainly used to relieve the symptoms of osteoarthritis, painful osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and joint stiffness spondylitis.
Pharmacological action
Analgesia Like other NSaids, melo xicam is mainly used for mild and moderate chronic dull pain, such as neuralgia and joint pain. It has a strong and lasting analgesic effect on experimental inflammatory pain in rats. In male Lewis rats with experimental RA, the dose of 0.063 ~ 0.5mg·kg-1, once a day, orally administered for 21 days, is not only effective on the redness and swelling of rat hind PAWS and bone and cartilage damage, but also has a strong and lasting analgesic effect on inflammation and pain, and has no effect on the central nervous system when the oral dose is as high as 10mg·kg-1 Similar to indomethacin, melo xicam has no analgesic effect on visceral pain.
Pharmacological action
Antipyretic action Melo xicam can reduce the body temperature of the person with fever, but it has almost no effect on normal body temperature. For example, in the anti-inflammatory dose range, melo xicam had no effect on normal body temperature in rats, but reduced yeast-induced fever. The rats were given intravenously endotoxin to induce fever, and the ip injection of melo xicam 0.1,0.3 or 0.5mg·kg-1, respectively, was found to have significant cooling effect, and the optimal antipyretic dose was 0.3mg·kg-1. Twice a week.
