Gamithromycin is a new type of semi synthetic macrolide veterinary antibiotic, which is one of the representative drugs of the second-generation macrolide antibiotics developed by the French company Meria. It plays a role in inhibiting bacterial RNA dependent protein synthesis and killing bacteria. Jiamimycin has high antibacterial activity against Streptococcus pneumoniae, Bacillus multocida, and Mycoplasma bovis, which cause bovine respiratory disease (BRD). Its antibacterial spectrum is wide, antibacterial activity is strong, and it has the advantages of fast absorption, wide distribution in vivo, low residual in vivo, and high safety. It is widely used abroad for clinical treatment of bovine respiratory system diseases caused by bacterial pathogens such as hemolytic Pasteurella, hemorrhagic and septic Pasteurella, and histophilic bacteria. Its chemical name is 13- [(2,6-dideoxy-3Chemicalbook C-methyl-3-O-methyl-a-L-pyranoxyl) oxygen] -2-ethyl-3,4,10-trimethoxy-3,5,8,10,14-hexamethyl-7-propyl-11- [3,4,6-trimethoxy-3- (dimethylamino) - b-D-pyranoxyl] oxygen] -, (2R, 3S, 4R, 5S, 8R, 10R, 11R, 12S, 13S, 14R) -1- Oxaza-7-nitrocyclic-15- monocyclic. The appearance is white to beige powder, insoluble in water, hygroscopic, stable under high temperature conditions, insensitive to light, and only has one configuration after recrystallization. Jiamimycin is replaced by a single propyl group at the 7 α position, which is a special structure that facilitates its rapid absorption under physiological pH conditions and can maintain a longer action time in the target tissue lungs.
